Job Overview

Add value to new Class 8 Western Star trucks and tractors through customer-focused quality inspections and light modifications/installations.


Responsibilities


- Perform PDI Inspections
- Perform Federal DOT Inspections
- Complete Custom Check Sheets
- Assemble/Install standard mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies or systems
- Interpret/work from shop aids, drawings, customer specifications, engineering and production specifications
- Visually inspect parts for obvious defects and damage
- Select and assemble pieces in a pre-determined order based on documentation
- Position, mount and fasten items to specific location
- Assemble components on trucks/tractors as directed by documentation
- Verify completion of work
- Cross train on other jobs as required
