  • Perform work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of production machines, equipment, and plant facilities such as:  generators, distillation columns, boilers, air conditioning units, compressors, pressure vessels, etc
    • Examine equipment to diagnose source of trouble and make necessary repairs.
    • Dismantle or partly dismantle equipment and perform repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools and calibration instruments.
    • Replace broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.
    • Make records as required for all repairs made to equipment.
    • Properly operate and maintain equipment tools.
    • To perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment as per SOP’s.
    • Report accurately any problem with equipment, which he cannot repair.
    • Observe, apply and enforce all safety rules and regulations.

      Also to:

    • Accuracy, neatness, and good record keeping is required of this position.
    • Adherence to plant safety regulations is vital for this position

      Education:

      Essential:   Associate Degree in Mechanical engineering Technology or equivalent experience.

      Desirable:     Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Technology and Certified Welder or Certified Tool and Die Maker.

      (if applicable)

      Experience:

      One(1) to three(3) years experience

      Skill:

      Ability to read and understand English & Spanish

      Basic cGMP Knowledge

      Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point)

      Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, written instructions, and specifications.

      Training Oriented.

      Desirable knowledge of mechanical aligning techniques, mechanical tolerances, maintenance materials, and shop mathematics, as well as maintenance procedures (desirable).
