Job Purpose: Operate and maintain central plants equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air handling units, fans, pumps and general mechanical equipment in accordance with scheduled program and as ad hoc needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain works for the central plant and HVAC equipment, utilities distribution network, general mechanical equipment, etc. as per the developed maintenance program
• Complete work orders on schedule
• Install, maintain, repair and add to mechanical systems and plants
• Clean air-conditioning and ventilation systems as scheduled
• Perform engineering and maintenance work in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Perform periodic boiler certification
• Perform repairs and maintenance work under strict safety conditions
• Ensure power supply, distributions and emergency backup systems are healthy, functional and ready for mobilisation
• Ensure buildings, facilities, equipment and work areas are kept clean, tidy and safe
• Report and escalate problems to the Supervisor
• Attend to emergencies as required
• Continually improve health and safety standards
• Assist and perform duties assigned by the Senior Technician

Competencies and Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hotel mechanical maintenance
Knowledge/Certificates: Relevant accredited apprenticeship preferred
Education: Secondary school or equivalent
Language Ability: Good Cantonese and Mandarin. Fair English
Computer Skills: Basic
