As a Designer you will be responsible for preparing relevant design documents according to customer requirements, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in, Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager I, you will develop new robotic solution for assembly and testing application together with a team of engineers.

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for communicating and cooperating with ABB colleagues in other countries after the equipment arrives at the site to solve the problems found during the on-site installation and debugging
• Preparing relevant design documents according to customer requirements, and being responsible for subsequent tracking and modification
• Ensuring that design and engineering is in accordance with applicable codes, standards, practices and contractual requirements
• Preparing the technical presentations and presenting to customer and the team
• Supervising supplier for mechanical components manufacturing, assembly and testing
• Developing and maintaining the customer relationship from technical side
• Developing new robotic solution for assembly and testing application together with a team of engineers

Your background

• 1 to 2 years of working experience in using analysis software such as ANSYS
• Proficient in SolidWorks
• Must be customer orientated
• A bachelor’s degree in industrial automation/mechanical engineering
• Excellent English communication and writing skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills with high flexibility and hard work, can work under pressure
• Must be proactive, self-motivated and can work independently
