Role Summary: Concept and draw world class, cost effective and quality reliable transformer designs based on customer’s specification.
To release drawings and specifications for procurements, quality, test and manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities: - Understand Mechanical design rules, Understand transformer standard of GB, ISO, IEC.

• Analyse the customer specifications and design input from Chief designer, provide international quality part design, consider the part design on design quality, cost, optimization, risk and problem solving; solve design problem;
• Participate to the engineering & production reviews; Support the electrical design team on mechanical subjects
• Timely in accordance with the design schedule, the purchasing requisition and technical requirements.
• Tender, examination of the customer requirements. Within the international rules and the national standards, using the appropriate Alstom standards and tools, relying on material specifications (technical understandings, costs, procurement loop), taking in account the manufacturing and testing specificities of the plant, preparation of the tender design
• Coordinate his design project with other internal functions (other designers, sourcing, quality & production), to remove bottlenecks & provide solutions to the problems with a group approach; Guides workshop workers for new designs & for workshop problems.
• Develop and maintain business relations and effective communication with suppliers, to benefit from their support & to support suppliers in production of quality components.

Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor (electrical or mechanical).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in power transformer design.
• Power transformer technology, components understanding, manufacturing process knowledge.
• Design software and Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Inventor,), M.S. Office.
• Experience of project of mechanical design.
• Good read and written communication in English.
• Good relationships management and communication skills (coordination with all functions)
• Problem solving approach; Appetence for technical issues
• Reactivity and capacity to work under pressure
