• New product design
• Understand customer requirements and refine product specifications
• Establish design goals and objectives for the team review and approve
• Mechanical design timeline established based on the project schedule
• New design ideas generated and explored for new products, define overall functional and cosmetic requirements
• Detailed models and 2D drawings created, including plastic, metal parts, PCBA, eletro-mech components, hardware, cable, etc.
• Optimize designs through FEA/CFD analysis report
• Optimize designs for assemblability, manufacturability, and function
• Identify and resolve cross-functional and cross-discipline architectural issues
• All design work shall be coordinated, reviewed & approved by mechanical team
• Work closely with manufacturing and project management to define prototype build strategy. Support the builds as a system owner
• Engineering sample preparing, mechanical sample qualification
• Develop and execute system test plans. Address defects and finalize designs. Verify that system meets all performance and reliability goals
• Release part designs for tooling. Ensure manufacturability of the parts by conducting DFM reviews with the tooling supplier. Identify and resolve all of issues related to tooling builds
• Provide 3D and 2D documentation, the format of 2D drawing is fulfilled with documental requirement, create some general technical specifications and standards as requirement

• Bachelor or master degree in mechanical engineering
• Min. 5+ years of direct working experiences in mechanical design, prefer in switch, server and storage, etc
• Familiar with electronic product development process. Ability to conceptualize, implement and validate a system level design and solution
• Knowledge in Mechanical design fundamental, experienced at plastic and metal part design, know about the tooling limitations
• Product architecture experience including high level thermal analysis, EMC/ESD compliance, structural layout, plan of verification/validation test
• Experience of design optimization based on FEA and CFD analysis result (structure, kinematics, and heat) is a PLUS
• Proficient in using of CAD system, Pro/E Cero is required
• Good Microsoft office skills in word, excel, powerpoint
• Fluent in both written and spoken English, ability to work in an international team
• Good team work attitude, collaboration and communication skills
• Business travel possible (include the oversea travel)
