As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Power Grids (PG) Division and Transformers (BU) Business unit, based in Zhongshan. ABB is World’s No.1 in Power Products Business and the product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.

Your responsibilities
- Robust and cost effective transformer mechanical design.
- Improve transformer mechanical design and manufacturing process.
- Sales support & support other departments.
- Fix quality issues.
- Understanding customer requirement according to specification, make design which meet the customer's requirement, optimize design to achieve maximum cost saving.
- Complete mechanical design and check drawing on time.
- Provide technical support for workshop, sales and marketing, quality etc.
- Realize continuous improvement of transformer mechanical design and process.

Your background
- College/University Degree or above is required.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in Functional Specialist/ Organization Generalist and Functional Preeminence.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
