Overview:

Siemens in Norwood, Ohio, is looking for a Mechanical Component Designer that will be a part of the Product Engineering group for Large Motors. In this role you will complete motor dimension drawings and Bills of Material to meet customer requirements for production motor orders (engineered to order product). The Designer will provide mechanical engineering support in conceptual and practical development of AC induction machine components working directly with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on designing customer solutions.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will assist the Engineering Department personnel to assure proper execution of the design, compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Requires the ability to create complex parts, assemblies and bills of material. Must be detail oriented and take ownership of projects. Must be able to work independently on projects to troubleshoot technical issues with minimal supervision.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Proficient in AutoCAD or 2D/3D modeling and NX.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical drafting.
• Strong communication skill both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as work with other group or teams.
• Excellent computer skills are required.
