Job Description for Mechanical Engineer

Position Accountabilities:

Zeeco is an International Leader in Industrial Combustion Technology, primarily serving the Petroleum, Chemical, and Power Generation Industries Worldwide. We provide flare system, thermal oxidizer system, air heater system, Vapor Recovery Unit and process burners to our customers. This position is accountable for required drawings development during project bidding stage execution stage.

Responsibilities:

1. Create accurate mechanical drawings with AutoCAD software.

2. Using discipline engineer provided guidelines to perform mechanical design of various components.

3. Understanding of piping and sheet metal characteristic, working for equipment optimization design and localization design.

4. Convert the designs to 3-D model/ CAD drawings suitable for manufacture and installation.

5. Develop and maintain 3D model for combustion Equipment by utilizing advanced Inventor function (I-logic).

6. Identify areas for improving the design process to create design drawings.

7. Provide technical assistance to resolve issues during equipment fabrication, installation and commissioning.

8. Coordinate with US engineers for local and global projects execution.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree with Mechanical Engineering Technology.

2. 3 to 5 years work experience in mechanical static equipment design for Petro-chemical and refinery projects.

3. 3D software skills with parametric design experience. Inventor & I-logic preferred".

4. Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work and produce error free drawings.

5. Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet project milestones.

6. Ability to modify work process to improve productivity based on constructive feedback.

7. Ability to seek feedback and ask for help when unsure to minimize rework. Communicates progress accurately and in a timely fashion.

8. Field work and Fabrication Shop Training required to travel to shops and customer sites.
