BASIC FUNCTION

Responsible for the structure design and innovation of the water filtration equipment and related components, working with new product development team to deliver the new products on time, quality and cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. New Products and parts design/development:

• Participant feasibility study and concept proposals

• Develop product structure design proposals, project plan and cost estimation

• Internal structure design and development based on the input from industrial design

• Technical documents design and releasing, including, Item/BOM, 2D/3D drawings, technical specifications, test and verification plan, etc.,

• Responsible for DFMEA, DFM, provide input for PFMEA and QCP

• Follow mold development process and validation

• Organize and conduct the proper design-verification of QTP/VTP

• Provide analysis report for mechanical design problem resolving and product improvements

• Provide engineering sustaining and support per needs, such as new product training, brochure, manual and so on.

2. Value/sustaining Engineering:

• As requested, conduct feasibility study per customer change needs, fulfill the redesign/improvement.

• Responsible for design drawing/BOM set up, working with MFG/quality/sourcing to bring change to fact and meet customer needs.

• Make 3D design-data entry into the company database and apply PDM procedures (PCI process) and best business practices to ensure NPD documentation procedures are applied appropriately.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

• Reports to ASSOC MGR-PRODUCT ENGINEERING, NPD, WF.

• Located in Changzhou office.

• Frequent contact with marketing, purchasing, operations, quality, lab and plant.

External contacts with end-customer, and OEM partner or suppliers.

技能/要求

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. College degree or above in a Mechanical or related engineering discipline.

2. Proficiency in Pro-E, AutoCAD to create 3D/2D models about plastic, metal and rubber components and product system. Skill of computer simulation is preferred.

3. Familiar with standard of Regulatory Safety & Compliance, electrical and food safety of filtration/appliances products is preferred.

4. At least 3 years work engineering experience in home appliances field, solid experience in mechanical/structure development, water filtration experienced is preferred.

5. Knowledge of Quality tools like FMEA and 6-sigma is preferred.

6. Good speaking and writing skills in English to effectively convey information, express opinions, English level should be passed CET-4 at least.

Willing to business trip frequently in China.
