Mechanical Engineer, Taiwan - Taiwan

The role will focus on mechanical design for hand tool and delivering sustainable even strategically innovation to fulfill Asia Pacific R&D team and ensure R&D support long term growth of APEX Tool Group by creating technology and innovation leadership in the market.

• Translating commercial, functional and design specification into technical detail design
• Developing and engineering appropriate design for hand tools
• Safeguarding functionality, performance, quality, reliability and manufacturability of products;
• Releasing components, modules and products for mass production;
• Leading, coaching and stimulating the multi-disciplinary team of product engineers and developers within the projects;
• Identifying gaps and implementing improvements to bring the improvement approaches to a higher level;
• Able to travel or take heavy loading during peak development phase
• Able to work with remote team

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering
• 3-8 years of experience on the field of mechanical parts and product development
• Construction of metal and stamping parts, plastic parts would be plus
• Mechanical design experience on Drive train (Gear/motion etc.)
• Familiar with test specification
• Familiar with material choice and secondary process for parts and products
• Good communication skills and team work, preferably English reading and writing
• Very good techniques in CAD of PTC Creo and Good design integrity
• Extra Compelling proposition as plus
• Determination in decision making, flexibility and independence
• FEM capability (Ansys, Pro-Mechanica, MSC)
• Mold design back ground
• Six sigma understanding (Green belt / Black belt)
• Define test specification
• Project management skill (eg. PMP)
• Complex Surface modeling (cooperate with ID)
• Windchill PDM/PLM
• Good understanding of approbation requirements
