Are you ready?    Your key responsibilities:    The Mechanical Engineering Internship is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12-month paid internship, you will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.   You will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of project, design and systems engineering, to varied extents, depending on actual project demands. You may also experience work on dynamic modelling, data analysis, mechanical design, system design, test development, safety system analysis and prototype part builds (this will vary by business and location). You’ll have the opportunity to manage small projects and presenting out project status to key stakeholders. Qualifications Your background:   Students are expected to be working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering. Geographic flexibility to relocate within the UK for the duration of this internship Have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship and where appropriate comply with ITAR regulations (we do not sponsor any type of visa for this internship) ready to start in July 2023 Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree or master’s program with a major in mechanical engineering Student requires good IT skills, including proficiency in MS office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint, but also feel comfortable working with new programs Ability to analyze, interpret and present data is desirable Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and CAD modelling tools would be valuable Experience and basic understanding of electronic based systems and control will give the placement greater scope, but is not essential Recruitment process: If you're identified as a stand-out candidate following the initial CV screening stage, you will be invited to attend: A telephone interview Successful candidates in the phone interview will be invited to an individual/panel interview with the Hiring Manager Successful candidates will receive an offer to any of our locations.
