Position Title: Mechanical Technician

Reports to: Mechanical Test Engineer / Department Manager

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting tensile, elevated temperature tensile, stress rupture and creep, Charpy impact, compression, electrical conductivity and hardness testing.
• Conducting mechanical equipment maintenance.
• Ordering mechanical lab supplies.
• Following stringent quality procedures such as Nadcap.
• Possibly being involved with initial test equipment installation.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• Minimum one year laboratory experience in the key responsibilities above.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications, and Licenses:

• Ability to understand and follow specifications such as ASTM and ASM.
• Good report writing skill both in Chinese and English.
• Good command of English verbal and reading.
• Good command of computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with lean and 5S activities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25 pounds
