Media Effectiveness Analyst

The European Media Effectiveness Analyst will be a key part of the transformational journey to data driven brand building with the aim to transform the way we connect with the pet parents and build relationships with them at the heart of everything we do.
Our ambition in this transformation is to:
- Serve 40Mio more pets until 2025 (moving from 360 Mio to 400Mio pets)
- Intimately know 100Mio pet parents and their pets and leveraging this data as an asset to accelerate our growth
- Moving from talking at pet parents to ultimately delivering mutual value experiences for them
- Creating the capabilities, ways of working and resources to engage with pet parents at a personalized level at meaningful scale
This role supports all the Pet Nutrition brands on their test and learn agenda focusing on media effectiveness. The Media Effectiveness Analyst will report to the ICP Media Director and support the learning agenda – implementing and overseeing media test and learns across all brands – gathering results from media placements in market, understanding media’s contribution to brand sales, and recommending tactics to increase media effectiveness based on test results.
This role serves as a key team member in the Pet Parent Centre of Excellence and provides improved ways of working, best practices and frequent learnings to advance Mars Pet Care marketing efforts across all brands and all media types.
What would be your key responsibilities?
• Partner with other Consumer Insights professionals, Nielsen teams, creative and media agencies to identify and implement appropriate testing structures
• Partner with e-commerce analytics team to improve measurement capabilities for e-retailers and better define results + success metrics (Key Performance Indicators) for digital marketing driving to online sales
• Conduct media effectiveness test results analysis and coordinate between media agency and media providers to ensure test validity and accuracy
• Support day to day coordination efforts between media agency, creative agency and brand teams to develop and execute robust test and learns on all media types
• Support the execution of the Mars PetCare test and learn calendar
• Package content learnings for inclusion in Learning Agenda progress recaps, in-campaign reporting and frequent share outs with brands and cross functional partners
• Develop key lessons learned and work towards supporting new “Media Key Beliefs” within the PetCare segment for coordination with Global and cross-segment stakeholders
• Provide regular progress updates to Sr. Manager, Director, Brand Teams

Education & Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Knowledge / Experience
• 1-3 years of prior experience in digital media analytics or media research
• E Commerce exposure/support is a nice to have
• Media effectiveness analytics exposure and understanding
