Overview of job

MediaCom is an agency of GroupM, the leading global media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Strategic Planning Associate Director to join us.

In this role, you will be responsible for to develop a strong media strategy across brands with connected with global planning guideline, as well as driving the best practice marketing solutions to ensure an integrated communication for the assigned categories.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the BD.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the client business challenges and competitive landscape.
  • High involvement into overall strategy planning work and direct existing team for the adaption
  • Build a good relationship with the key decision makers on client side

In six months:

  • Independent client management
  • Manage all the things reported to you

In 12 months:

  • Manage all annual review/planning proposal for this client

What your day job looks like at MediaCom:

  • Build and maintain productive and long lasting relationship with client across all levels and departments.
  • Demonstrate leadership across key clients
  • Ensure our planning is strategically led, considering consumer insight, business insight and coming up with media led big ideas to deliver value for our client.
  • Have the understanding and confidence to discuss all aspects of the business, including working with the clients to arrive at the best process/systems for managing their business.
  • Motivated team focused on improving our delivery to the client.
  • Act as a mentor to junior employees.
  • Prioritize tasks and appropriately delegate to individual members of the team, ensuring they are given adequate time, resource and are sufficiently trained to execute the tasks.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 6+ years working experience in media industry with media planning capability.
  • Familiar with all the planning tools and market analysis, including consumer behavior study, competitors analysis

  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Being innovative in providing the solution
  • New media trend sensitive
  • Strong thinking habit and proactive

  • Fluent English, both oral and written
