Responsibilities:
Perform coding activities on the assigned project in a timely and efficient manner
Code the Medical Conditions and Medication terms in the Coding tool
Generate Queries to clarify in order to facilitate coding
Responsible for submitting change requests to external dictionary maintenance organizations
Provide Coding Consistency Reports to the Study Physician as and when required/requested
Perform the Dictionary up-versioning activities and Synonym List upgrade
Participate in study related meetings as needed
Ensure that the priority study terms are processed on precedence
Provide inputs to Project-Specific Coding Guidelines
Assist Data Management team and Patient Safety with SAE reconciliation activities
Highlight technical issues and potential risks to the Coding Lead in timely manner
Review and provide input to the Coding section of the Data Management Plan
Assist coding team in queries to clarify in order to facilitate coding
Support Quality control steps
Raise technical issues and potential risks to the Principal Coder
Additional responsibilities:
Participate in knowledge sharing sessions as an when applicable
Ensure all the functional trainings are completed and documented
Ensure adherence to AZ Coding SOPs
Timely submission of MYTIME report
Requirements:
University or college degree in the life sciences or pharmacy, nursing or equivalent relevant degree
Intermediate knowledge of clinical coding process
Experienced in using MEDDRA and WHO-DD coding dictionaries
Overall knowledge of different therapeutic area
Demonstrate understanding and experience in query management process
ICH and Regulatory activities
Good Clinical Practice
Ability to work flexibly on simultaneous projects and proactively manage time to meet own deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a global team environment
