We are currently seeking a Medical Communications Senior Manager to join our General Medicine team, mainly to be responsible for the bone therapeutic area. The successful candidate will deliver regional medical communication programs, events, and scientific tools, for one or more products & disease-states aligned with regional medical strategy.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Generate and execute the regional Medical Communications plan
  • Review and provide input on, as well as coordinate timely regional medical team comments on Global Core Content (GCC)
  • Generate regional specific scientific content (eg. slide decks) as determined by unique needs of the region
  • Use approved GCC and adapt/customize if needed for regional/local Medical Communication resources and activities
  • Obtain approval of scientific content through regional/local processes and communicate on new content to region and country level staff
  • In partnership with Global Medical Communication team, lead and execute regional strategy for Tier-1 congress deliverables & key activities, including satellite symposia
  • Lead and execute regional strategy and deliverables for non-tier 1 congresses including booth assets and regional activities (satellite symposia)
  • Planning, organizing, and running standalone informative events
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative communication tools
  • Medical review of non-promotional content
  • Effectively manage use of vendors for content development
  • Act on Key Performance Indicators (e.g. concerning events, tools, websites)

Preferred Requirements:

  • You have Doctoral Degree or Master’s degree in Sciences with 4 or more years of relevant experience in clinical research, patient care, Clinical Development, Medical/Scientific Affairs, and/or basic research (Other doctorate degrees may be considered)
  • You have prior experience in clinical research, patient care, clinical development, Medical/Scientific Affairs, basic research in the therapeutic area
  • You understand the relevant disease states and treatment landscapes
  • And the pharmaceutical commercialization process and knowledge of the regulatory and legal guidelines affecting promotion of prescription products
  • Aptitude in writing and presenting on scientific and clinical data is required
  • As well as excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills with strong ability for self-direction
  • Demonstrated track record of strategic execution in a matrix environment with limited supervision is required
  • You can work in teams and interface in a dynamic environment across corporate functions
  • Understanding of disease and landscape and clinical data to enable critical analysis of scientific literature and communicate implications cross-functionally
  • Prior experience of successfully managing consultants and vendors
  • Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products
  • Multilingual, proficiency in English is a must have
