What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. Reporting to the Affiliate Executive Medical Director (AEMD), Australia and New Zealand you will lead the General Medicine strategy and the Medical Advisors (MA) and Medical Communications (MC) team and in collaboration with AEMD and the Medical Leadership Team support broader medical affairs to become the most accomplished medical affairs team around the globe.
Hire, coach, mentor and develop team members
Accountable for the General Medicine medical strategies for all products including bone, cardiovascular and inflammation
Collaborate with Evidence Generation Senior Manager to deliver evidence and data to support pre- and post-launch, at all times keeping the improved patient outcomes and the data gaps and needs for each product
Collaborate with Development Operations Senior Manager to enable the best clinical development performance, supportive of Global Study Operations and local affiliate strategy and launch excellence
Collaborate with key global, regional and local cross-functional stakeholders to enable best outcomes.

Medical Degree (MD) and/or PhD
5 or more years of medical affairs experience, 3 years of which should be from a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company in Australia or New Zealand
3 years or more experience in relevant therapeutic areas
Broad and formal leadership experience in medical affairs in Australia or New Zealand
Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate others in a complex, multi-functional, multi-national matrix environment
Ability to effectively present ideas and document complex medical/clinical concepts in both written and oral communication
Demonstrated ability to organize and lead expert Advisory Panels
History of solving problems while exhibiting superior judgment and a balanced, realistic understanding of issues
