We are seeking a

Medical Science Liaison

Main Purpose of Job:

Maximize Amgen's value propositions through first-class medical and scientific projects, services and expertise, with key scientific customers. Implement scientific programs in local territories in collaboration with other departments   particularly Development Field Operations (clinical).

Responsibilities :

  • Identifies, develops and maintains collaborative relationships with current and future scientific experts, cooperative study groups and study sites
  • Develops and implements local external engagement plans, in line with local and international strategy
  • Represents Amgen Medical department in the territory
  • Discusses scientific value messages, clinical outcome and patient benefits with SEs, hospital pharmacists and local payers in close collaboration with KAM/access group
  • Works with development field operations to ensure prioritization of trial site selection, and support feasibility across assigned territories
  • Participates in investigator meetings according to approved investigator strategy
  • Implements and follows up on evidence generation programs (ISSs  and other scientific activities) provides input to the design of local observational research
  • Supports Amgen sponsored clinical trials  on site with scientific presentations/discussions to create enthusiasm for the scientific program,
  • Identifies new research opportunities
  • Gives clinical and scientific presentations at sites / hospitals
  • Ensures society engagement: MSL support of international and regional congresses
  • Implements and disseminates high quality medical and scientific educational programs;
  • Delivers targeted internal training for selected topics and teams (e.g. study update, congress news, latest scientific developments, medical updates for commercial team)
  • Supports Country Medical Lead, local TA Leader & Medical Advisor  in developing local territory R&D tactics
  • Develops required qualitative and quantitative reports; collates competitor information

Requirements:

  • Medical or pharmaceutical degree
  • At least 5 year experience in similar position at  innovative pharmaceutical company
  • Experience with clinical study management and conduct
  • Medical / scientific research experience
  • Network of customer contacts (advantage: neurology, inflammation, bone, dermatology)
  • Fluent English knowledge in written and oral
  • Scientific expertise in the therapeutic area, related products, disease state, and interested in latest discoveries
  • Knowledge of value messages, clinical outcomes and patient benefits for the products
  • Has solid understanding of country local health care system and decision-making, stays on top of changes
  • Demonstrates strong project management and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of commercialization and business practices
  • Good knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal and compliance environment
  • Willingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market, and industry knowledge
  • Willingness to travel; possesses valid driver’s license
  • Strong capability for team work and collaboration
