Role objective – To provide a field-based focus on our Abbvie Affiliate scientific engagement, with our stakeholders in research, healthcare professionals and providers. As an MSL, you would be interacting with these external experts to facilitate a scientific discussion about AbbVie’s marketed products. Key responsibilities: An MSL at Abbive, you will be attending meetings with external stakeholders to provide presentations on scientific content on Abbvie products, to maintain credible relationships, support requests for medical information based on the area of therapeutic interest of your Ophthalmology group Act as the point of contact in the Medical Affairs team, for external experts for these types of requests, in your assigned geographically location Participate proactively, as part of a disease area awareness education programme for your TA group Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence – for example, competitor research and medical strategies, educational activities, structure and function of NHS – and communicate, where appropriate, within the Company Support the strategic development of the Eye Care division by evaluating and processing medical-scientific information from specialist literature, taking into account regional and external findings Qualifications Advanced degree (e.g. PharmD., MD, PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred but candidates with an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience will be considered Ability to inspire listeners and discussion partners with the clear presentation of scientific data Experience interpreting data from clinical studies and an understanding of drug development Able to work with cross-functional collaboration and contribute with creativity and energy to new solutions in your environment Strong, resilient attitude and the ability the search for solutions, when confronted with obstacles Able to travel 75 % of the Time Travel No Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code IC Equal Employment Opportunity At AbbVie, we value bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to develop new and innovative solutions for patients.
