Our Medical Sciences Partners contribute every day to the understanding and utilization of critical lab testing throughout the United States and world. As a Medical Sciences Partner in the Medical Affairs Department, you will be responsible for Clinical and Technical engagements with specified external customers (major area of focus) and internal Siemens Healthineers employees. Your engagements will be in person or remote and will generally fall into one of the following categories: customer call, customer visit, email, formal presentation, internal call, internal meeting, or webinar. The topics you will cover include both clinical and technical utility of chemistry and immunoassays. Content Review and Development is necessary for broader messaging and education to both internal Siemens Healthineers and external laboratory partners. You will be a vital part of planning, creating, and maintaining all clinical collateral. You are expected to engage in continuous professional development to build expertise in relevant topics through various modalities (i.e., literature review, attending educational seminars, attending professional conferences, etc…). You will work closely with colleagues in other Medical Sciences roles to assist and meet the needs of specified external customers. This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers You are an experienced clinical laboratorian with a good understanding of standard laboratory practices, clinical utility of diagnostic laboratory testing in chemistry and immunoassay. You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) You have clinical and technical utility skills applied to laboratory medicine with demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving techniques, creativity, and critical thinking to drive continuous improvement You exhibit strong organizational and time management skills Flexible and willing to travel You excel at working in a cross-functional environment You are adaptable to change and work well within a team environment You have very good presentation skills with the ability to communicate to audiences of different educational levels. You are proactive with critical thinking skills to help improve education and clinical processes. You are an effective communicator with the ability to discuss complex subjects in a simplistic manner. Required skills to have for the success of this role PhD required, preferably in the basic or health sciences; BS in medical technology, clinical chemistry (Board certified) or clinical laboratory science in addition is preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting with demonstrated clinical expertise and technical responsibilities Willing to travel up to 50% This position is fully remote but role must be located in proximity to a major airport. The pay range for this position in NYC or Westchester County, NY is $134,400 to $184,800 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
