The Role
Here at Royal Canin we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a merchandiser to join our sales team. In this role you will support the Sales Executives in executing “perfect store” merchandising strategies, promotional activations, and shelf relays.
Part of a highly energised and passionate team, both locally and nationally, you will not only ensure shelves and off-location displays are stocked and displayed in-line with company standards in pet specialty retail stores but also achieve the goals of quality, service and profit, through supporting one another and sharing successes.

What are we looking for?
- Previous FMCG and/or retail, customer service experience required;
- Demonstrated merchandising skills;
- The ability to build relationships with a varied customer base;
- A hunger and curiosity to learn and become a product expert;
- Valid Drivers’ License.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Ensuring “perfect store” merchandising strategies are adhered to in all stores;
- Checking product is present and ticketed on shelf, recording out of stocks and communicating these to the store buyer;
- Monitoring Key Accounts, ensuring all compliance checks are completed and communicated to the appropriate Key Account team member;
- Ensuring stock rotation of product on shelf, communicating any short-dated or expired stock to the Sales Executive;
- Measuring individual stores “share of shelf” to ensure allocation of the appropriate shelf space for our products;
- Responding to customer queries and providing recommendations on Royal Canin products.
