Job Responsibilities:

• Supports new material concepts for new season start fabric research/presentation
• Support all lab dip requests, hand loom, coordinate and arrange the proto for salesman sample, fabric approval and testing report
• Contact daily with fabric teams, mills, fabric suppliers and fabric agents for all fabric research and follow up
• Find and develop the right materials according to calendar timeline, target prices, sourcing policy, quality standards and material end use
• Meet calendar deadlines to ensure that material developments and production are delivered on time
• Risk assessment and precaution to ensure materials meet the brand specification and testing requirement
• On time delivery of prototypes, swatches, sales samples, photo shoot samples and size runs
• Involve in early assessment of color combinations to meet fabric color minimum buys and avoid surcharges
• Finalizes materials details, prices, surcharges, lead times and order/color minimums to meet calendar deadlines
• Actively research textile industry trade journals, seminars, and trade shows to be informed of emerging technologies, fibers, yarns, materials and methods

Job Requirements:

• Tertiary education in Merchandising or relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in related industry
• Knowledge of PLM system is an advantage
• Able to work under pressure, embrace changes, result-oriented, strong problem solving skills and able to manage multiple tasks environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of English, Mandarin & Cantonese
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs
• Occasional business trip is required
