Job Description – Merchandising Development Manager
Title: Merchandising Development Manager
Department: Yves Rocher Group- Asia Pacific Operations
Report to: GM
Subordinates: 3
Location: China - Group Rocher Shanghai
Openings: 1
Responsibility
• Guarantee the development of Merchandising products according to Marketing/Brands requests and in coherence with Brand values & Clients expectations
• Guarantee sourcing of new performing products and new material in line with strong CSR commitments of Group Rocher (‘’zero plastic’’ target)
o Understand brands’ spirits, current and new customers’ needs in order to adapt the orientation of the Merchandising team
o Manage and guide the merchandising team
o Have a sense of fashion trends and new life concept, keep sourcing new products and new material for new development
o Manage the good relationship with current customers (sales and marketing teams in France) as well as newly identified customers (Sabon, Arbonne,..) in order to achieve a best offer and service for merchandising team
Ensure good communication and interface with other departments in order to improve collaboration and group interests
o Identify weaknesses and/or possible improvement in the actual processes, and put action for optimization
o Have a sense of beauty trends, and continuously developing knowledge about new materials and concepts in coherence with Brands CSR trends.
o Coordinate and orientate the innovation collection within DOPA (Help on fairs organization, gathering of suppliers knowledge…)
o Communication and interface with Innovation and Market surveillance department, as well as central development innovation teams, internal customers and marketings, in order for DOPA to give efficient restitutions of findings to all.
