The Job: Garment / Textile

• Responsible for development and implementation of the strategic

sourcing plan

• Lead the vendor selection process.
• Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers, and manage

their qualification process.

• Evaluate suppliers core competencies and competitive positioning using

industry cost models and needs of the company.

• Review supplier business proposals and present recommendations that

offer cost savings, speed to market and long term partnership.

• Work in conjunction with engineering and quality teams to evaluate and

determine potential suppliers.

• Build and maintain business relationships with production and costing

teams.

• Negotiate costs and monitor vendors performance in terms of quality,

merchandising and timeline.

• Drive continuous improvement in term of total cost, process, delivery,

lead-time, flexibility, inventory and daily operation.

• Establish and maximize key vendor relationships for future growth of

our business.

• Identify supplier consolidation opportunities.
• Create leverage across pipeline, analyze purchasing trends and develop

sourcing alternatives.

• Monitor commodity market conditions, technology and identify

supply/demand challenges and opportunities.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in sourcing, production,

merchandising preferably in ladies fashion

• At least 5 years of experience gained at managerial level in

established and reputable international buying office or sourcing agent

• Strong communication, people and partnership skills to communicate

effectively with multiple working partners across the organization and externally.

• Understanding of buying office, manufacturing principles, materials,

processes, factory setups and trade with hands-on approach definitely an advantage.

• Highest level of integrity.
• Fluent in conversation, written and comprehension of English and

Mandarin

• Able to work independently while at the same time be a team-player.
• Exceptional organizational, problem solving, negotiation and time

management skills.

• Able to plan and multi task various projects.
• Passionate, proactive, dynamic, flexible and creative.
• Available for frequent business travels and willing to travel to China

and other parts of the world to explore sourcing opportunities.

Salary can be adjusted according to experience
