Key responsibilities:

• Develop any new test related to metal analysis with different skill set
• Prepare technical sales kits to promote service and support business unit & frontline for any enquiry on metal analysis
• Renovate and design of laboratory for metal analysis, estimate the effort and monitor the project progress
• Ensure the conduct and completion in the laboratory to a high-quality standard by the application of sound scientific method and proper control procedures
• Implement and supervise safe working methods within the Operating Area and to inform and instruct staff of these
• Estimate and monitor the effort required on projects and respond promptly to deviations from estimate
• Prepare long term plans for the laboratory’s activities and to determine future areas of activity for the laboratory
• Build up and lead a successful team for the quality of work produced by the metal analysis work

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above in chemistry, applied sciences or relevant subject
• Minimum 6 years experiences in analytical testing with practical experiences in analytical instrument for metal analysis with minimum 3 years experiences in laboratory supervision
• Experience in project management is preferred
• Knowledge in laboratory quality system requirement or familiar with ISO 17025
• Familiar with Instruments especially adapted for metal analysis such as XRD, XRF Spark-Arc, Elemental analyzers etc.
• Familiar with skill set for wet chemistry analysis for metal such as gravimetric, titration, colorimetric method
• Computer knowledge in Windows application –office, LIMS, oracle.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and able to read Chinese
• Mature, independent, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
