Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as Metrologist Technician This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Metrologist Technician, you will be responsible for: You will perform fabrications, maintaining, installations, repairs, assemble and inspect pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic recording, regulating and / or indicating instruments, and communication systems. Calibrate facilities & laboratory equipment using validated calibration software. You will maintain, repair, calibrate, install, fabricate, and inspect computer software and interface equipment utilizing their journeymen skills. You will use electronic component checks, various types of test instruments and devices such as manometers, ohmmeters, volt meters, ammeters, oscilloscopes and gauges. You will be able to use hand tools common to the trade. Use power tools such as electric drill, soldering equipment and drill press. Braze and solder wiring and small parts associated with instrument work. You can perform electric work when the work is of a limited nature and the Journeyman involved is judged by a foreman to be qualified. · You will order parts pertaining to specific jobs and contact, and schedule calibration vendors. Perform other related duties as required by Supervisor, and work with and assist other skilled tradesman. This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers Being able to work from drawings, repair, and operating instruction manuals, written and oral instructions. Being able to utilize validated environmental monitoring system to generate trends, charts, and change alarm limits as needed/instructed. You have experience working with materials such as: wire, pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic components, materials, such as tubing of metal, plastic and glass used in connection with instrument work. Being able to run various weekly and monthly reports and update queries including past due calibration and PM’s. Able to review enrollment and change request forms to assess appropriateness and consistency with metrology practices and standards. Required skills to have for the success of this role Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred, although candidates with a combination of experience and education (HS or GED) will also be considered. 3-5 years of direct experience working on Medical Diagnostic Equipment. Strong working knowledge of electronics, testing equipment, and calibrations in a laboratory type environment.
