How will you make an impact?
Perform instrumentation work at a technical level by, troubleshooting and recommending preventive action, and assisting in the support of the overall PM/calibration program. Perform repair on circuit boards and mechanical systems in the steriles manufacturing operation in support of production schedules and calibration schedules. Perform detailed repair as needed to avoid replacement of equipment or modules within the equipment. Typical hours for this role is 6:00AM-6:00PM on a 2-3-2 rotation(Days).
What will you do?
Perform repairs on various systems, components and equipment. Perform repairs on equipment from written instructions, sketches, plans, diagrams, oral descriptions or self-determined job requirements based on observed conditions.
Document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests, or inspections performed as required by company policies and procedures.
Review and determine the priority and urgency of multiple repairs and completing repairs in a manner to best suit the steriles manufacuring organization.
Maintain and upgrade technical and nontechnical skills by participation in company and outside training programs.
Comply with department work schedules, shifts, call-ins, stand-by, department coverage and overtime.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
Work will be non-routine and based on the immediate need of the department. The work demands of the job may change as any moment of the day and the employee with have to adjust to those demands.
Perform other duties as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education:
Associate’s degree in Electronics/Electrical, Instrumentation Technology, Engineering, Refrigeration, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), or other applicable technical degrees is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is minimally required.
Experience:
At least 2 years of instrumentation experience or 4 years of electrical/electronic experience
Pharmaceutical experience is a plus
Equivalency:
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot problematic equipment and various electrical component systems with no schematic
Proficiency in the use of highly technical diagnostic and test equipment.
Knowledge of electronic component recognition and operation.
Skilled in problem analysis, planning and organization.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Reading and comprehension of blueprints, manuals and training materials.
Ability to work well on a team.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 25-50 pounds, occasionally pushing and pulling 50-100+ pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
