We are hiring talented and passionate engineers, to enable Intel to develop, produce and deliver cutting-edge technology products, as a part of a global Information Technology team. As a Manufacturing IT Applications Engineer your responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- Serve as an expert/product owner for a designated automation application or a set of applications, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams
- Apply advanced troubleshooting methodologies to lead teams' solutions to automation software and systems problems
- Integrate, test, install, configure, and support Factory automation software systems
- Coordinate factory requirements and map them to automation systems capabilities, and recommend technical solutions
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs
- Develop software and scripting solutions as part of enhancements to existing systems, add supplemental systems, or improve support and monitoring tools

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other related Engineering discipline (must have the required degree or expect the required degree by August 2022)
- 3+ years of experience in software development or database/server/applications support
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in one or more of the below would be a plus:
- Enterprise software applications installation, configuration, and support, in a Windows and Unix environment
- 24x7 IT environment, enabling mission-critical IT services at an enterprise level
- Software development experience in an enterprise IT organization
- Windows or any Linux/Unix support skills
- Scripting tools in any server environments
- Oracle or Microsoft database technologies, or in developing distributed systems
- DevOps, CI/CD, or other modern software lifecycle processes/tools

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
