Location :  30 min from Montpellier (Aimargues)

 

As part of MGS Laboratories strategic response to address quality issues within our internal and external microbiology network, the Microbiology Operational Capability Lead  is responsible to develop, deploy and continuously improve the standards, processes and tools to raise the bar on quality and technical performance. The job holder will additionally drive excellence in incident response to ensure rapid insight to our manufacturing supply chain to enable Mars to take decisions with confidence.

 

What are we looking for ?

 

• Master’s degree or PhD. in microbiology or related scientific field with lab experience required
• Demonstrable experience of developing and deploying global standards, processes or tools 
• Demonstrable record of driving technical change programs with internal and external stakeholders
• Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in writing and speaking English
• Lead auditor trained (ISO17025, ISO 7218, ISO 9001, ISO22000) with experience in laboratory audits

 

What would be your responsibilities ?

 

 

• Provide technical leadership and continuously improve the Microbiology Laboratory Incident Support Process to ensure we respond effectively and efficiently for our customers
• Provide Technical leadership of the Mars Microbiology Laboratory Standard, audit protocols and metrics to risk manage key failure modes and identify poor suppliers
• Develop a framework of microbiology laboratory control programs, standards and prescriptive quality policies, and ensure their consistent implementation throughout our internal and external laboratory networks (SOPs, local implementation validation protocols, minimum training requirements, QC, equipment requirements, system suitability checks, etc.)
