Job Description
What You’ll Do
Teaching Fellows will join a multicultural, multilingual team of educators at the forefront of educational innovation in China. They will be responsible for planning and implementing content-area
curriculum, assessing student performance, and collaborating with other members of the team to
implement our cross-disciplinary curriculum program focused on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Teaching Fellows will participate in teacher development programs and engage in cross-cultural exchange on educational best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests
• Assess student’s performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular
basis
• Assign and correct homework related to the curriculum
• Support students’ development, focusing support to address individual needs
• Build a safe, supportive, respectful learning atmosphere
• Work with colleagues to continually improve student learning and school culture
• Inspire trust and confidence among parents and families
• Participate actively in ongoing, intensive professional learning
• Collaboratively plan discipline-based and interdisciplinary units and projects
• Be willing to teach other areas as well other than English (e.g. business study, science, etc.)

It is strongly recommended that candidates meet the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree BA/BS in content area or relevant post-graduate work required
• Business study or Science background preferred
• Master’s or PhD level degree preferred
• Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices
• Creative and artistic teaching abilities
• Patience, flexibility and great people skills
• Good team-player attitude and solid communication skills
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with proven track-record of student learning
• Experience with, or interest in, interdisciplinary and project-based teaching and learning
• Can participate in professional learning communities and other collaborative communities to
design and plan instruction, to improve practice, and to achieve student outcomes
• Will achieve above and beyond expectations in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
