Position: Middle School ESL Teacher
Start Date: August 2026 (Fall Semester 2026)
Location: West Lake District, Hangzhou
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School ESL Teacher to join our vibrant academic community starting in the Fall of 2026. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator who can inspire students in grades 7-9, fostering a love for the English language and creating an engaging, immersive classroom environment. You will play a key role in developing students' communication skills and cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, student-centered ESL lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
Teach a range of English language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, to middle school students.
Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
Develop and use a variety of teaching materials and activities to cater to different learning styles and levels.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and classroom observations, providing constructive feedback.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
Contribute to a collaborative teaching environment by working with fellow teachers and staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
A recognized TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate (minimum 120 hours) OR a valid teaching license/certification from your home country.
At least two years of teaching experience, preferably with middle school or teenage learners.
Clean criminal background check.
Passionate about teaching young learners, patient, culturally sensitive, and adaptable.
