Job Description
We are an independent school situated close to Yuncheng in Shanxi province.
We need a native speaking teacher for this upcoming sememster. You will mainly teach spoken English.
Benefits:
6,500rmb per month as a starting salary reviewed on a three month basis depending on performance. Average of 20 classes of 45 minutes over four days. Foreign teachers classes are scheduled only on four consecutive days every week. No weekend or evening classes.
No Office hours. Your free time is your own.
Teaching assistant provided for lower level classes. Other classes benefit from the students regular Chinese teacher being present to help with discipline and translation matters.
Full salary paid during the long Winter vacation in addition to a 1,000rmb holiday bonus.
Full salary paid for the two month summer holiday if you renew your contract for another year.
10,000rmb air ticket subsidy paid at the end of your contract plus a 2,000rmb travel allowance. This will increase to 12,000rmb and 3,000rmb for a further years renewal. We also guarantee a salary increase of at least 10% if you renew your contract.
Fully furnished unshared apartment in a purpose built accommodation block. No bills to pay. Internet connection (unshared). School paid VPN. Printer. Three meals daily provided in the school canteen during school opening times.
What we require from you to be able to process your legal working visa and resident permit:
You must be a passport holder from UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. No exceptions to this rule.
You must hold a degree and will need to show the original certificate at the beginning of your employment.
You must have a TEFL or TESOL certificate. This is not required if you have two years verifiable teaching experience.
You must have a criminal background check issued within the last twelve months from your own country. No exceptions to this rule.
You must be between 22 and 58 years old. Applicants upto 65 years old will be considered providing they have valid medical insurance and agreed to sign an indemnity form.
