Job Position: International School Middle School English Teacher
Contract Length:1 year or more
Starting Date: Aug 2024
Location: Chaoyang District, Beijing, China

Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement content-area curriculum.
- Assess student performance and collaborate on school’s cross-disciplinary curriculum program focused on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
- Assign and correct homework related to the curriculum.
- Support students’ development, focusing on individual needs.
- Build a safe, supportive, and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Work with colleagues to improve student learning and school culture.
- Inspire trust and confidence among parents and families.
- Participate actively in ongoing, intensive professional learning.
- Collaboratively plan discipline-based and interdisciplinary units and projects.
- Be willing to teach other areas besides English (e.g., business study, science, etc.).

Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in content area or relevant post-graduate work required.
- Business study or Science background preferred.
- Master’s or PhD level degree preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices.
- Creative and artistic teaching abilities.
- Patience, flexibility, and strong people skills.
- Good team-player attitude and solid communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with a proven track-record of student learning.
- Experience with, or interest in, interdisciplinary and project-based teaching and learning.
- Ability to participate in professional learning communities and collaborative efforts.
