Position Overview
As a Middle School English Language Arts teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and personal growth of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing engaging lesson plans that cover Reading (Literature & Informational Text), Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Language for grades 6-8, aligned with American Common Core Curriculum Standards.
• Creating a positive and safe classroom environment by establishing clear rules and safety regulations.
• Utilizing a variety of teaching materials and methods to deliver content effectively.
• Providing additional support and interventions for struggling students, as well as extra resources for those who excel.
• Preparing students for tests, exams, presentations, and other assessments.
• Grading assessments and providing constructive feedback and reports to students and parents.
• Attending staff and parent meetings to offer valuable insights and address concerns.
• Building strong rapport and professional relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Supervising students in class, during events, and on field trips.
• Monitoring students’ overall wellbeing and collaborating with the school counselor and other staff members when needed.
• Participating in ongoing professional development through workshops, lectures, conferences, and other learning initiatives.
Salary : 25 K to 28 K RMB per month

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in English or a related field.
• A relevant teaching license, certificate, or registration.
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Resilience and a positive attitude.
• Superb interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• The ability to connect with and inspire adolescents.
• A high degree of professionalism and a growth mindset.
• At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience (experience with English Language Learners is preferred).
• Familiarity with US Common Core standards in Middle School or High School.
Work Schedule
Our work schedule is from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, with a weekly staff meeting on Wednesdays lasting no more than 1 hour. You will teach 3 classes of 90 minutes each day, plus a 45-minute advisory/tutor session.
