Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Economics lessons to Middle School students (Grades 6-9), following the school's curriculum framework (e.g., aligned with NGSS, IGCSE, or IB MYP standards).
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote a deep understanding of economic principles and their real-world applications.
• Assess and provide feedback on student performance, encouraging continuous improvement and growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and support the school's commitment to holistic education.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business, or a closely related field.
• Valid teaching certification/qualification (e.g., QTS, State Teaching License, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting (international, bilingual, or public school).
• Native English speaker or near-native English proficiency.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Economics at the Middle School level.
• Experience with international curricula (such as IGCSE, IB MYP, or AP) is highly desirable.
• Passion for teaching adolescents and a student-centered teaching philosophy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• A collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude.
