Job Description

In this position, you will be working on a team supporting all of Intel's Manufacturing operations which run 24x7, 365 days a year. The role on this team will be working as Level 2 operations support, solving complex problems working closely with IT and Manufacturing, and other teams to provide best-in-class support.

The Middleware Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Integrates, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports Factory automation software systems
  • Coordinates factory requirements, maps them to automation systems capabilities, and recommends technical solutions
  • Applies advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs
  • Serves as site expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams
  • Position may include some software development of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other related engineering field
  • 2+ years of related experience


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience/Coursework with:

  • Linux, window, scripting languages
  • Troubleshooting techniques, analyzing and resolving difficult technical issues quickly in a high-pressure environment

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
