As the Lead Bartender you will take care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure by ensuring they have a memorable experience with us.

In this role you will:

• In liaison with the F&B managers and leaders, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Spice Central Bar

• Deliver personalised service with passion and professionalism, constantly striving to maintain and exceed our guests’ expectations and Heartist Service philosophy

• Use your knowledge and passion in mixology to create unique, new and innovative recipes and cocktail menu

• Control the beverage stock and carry out regular stock takes.

• Familiarize yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.

• Ensure all mis-en-place is completed prior to guests arriving.

• Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.

What we are looking for?

• Knowledge and experience in mixology and confidence in creative new cocktail recipes

• Proven experience in similar roles within busy environments

• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

• Can go out of their way to create memorable experiences for our guests

• Aware of Brisbane surrounds and in particular South Brisbane and can recommend great things to see and do for our guests

• A high standard of grooming and presentation

• Flexibility regarding your work availability is essential, as we operate 7 days a week, including public holidays
