Job Description

At Mobile Data Labs, we’re delivering modern tools to help make Microsoft products more consumer-focused. Our goal is to remove the tedium of everyday software experiences and give people peace of mind and confidence, so they can focus on the things that matter most to them. 

 

The design team at Mobile Data Labs is looking for a Product Designer with a passion for detail, an eye for interfaces that work, and an understanding of effective user-experience patterns for modern software. Our product philosophy is rooted in human-centered design, rapid prototyping, iterative research and testing cycles. You will be part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for inventing future experiences and crafting products for millions of people around the world.  

Responsibilities

In your role, you will be integral in the end-to-end design of product experiences—both mobile and large viewport scenarios. You need to be a hands-on designer that can produce compelling design concepts, interactive prototypes, and refine visual designs all the way through the development process. You will work with design, product, and engineering leadership to help realize design concepts, develop visual designs and produce assets ready for development. You will have unique opportunities to design the overall product experiences with an emphasis on interaction and UI design. 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in product and mobile user experience design for iOS and Android 
  • Demonstratable capability to produce excellent product experiences 
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills 
  • Passionate advocate for well-crafted design 
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams across design, research, product, engineering, engagement and beyond. 
  • Proficiency in creative and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Abstract, Principle, Framer, After Effects, etc. 
  • Education requirements include BA/BS in design or computer science
