Overview of job

Assist in performing Market Mixture Model, which include performing exploratory data analysis (ETL), data cleaning, modelling and reporting. Performing deep dive into client’s data, and gain business insight using statistical technique and modelling. Since all of the tasks of the team will be performed using code (Python), he/she will be comfortable in coding and learning new things.

Measures of success –

In three months:

• Familiar with team’s tech stacks, and able to perform analytic task without much assistance.
• Familiar with the workflow of performing exploratory data analysis (ETL). Familiar with team’s code base.
• Understand the details of client’s requirements in reports, know how to adjust the parameters in tools to build reports for different roles within business.

In six months:

• Able to perform ETL, and preliminary data processing independently.
• Assist in writing Market Mixture Model report.
• Beginning to contribute to team code base, and help maintain the code.
• Fluent with business statistics, and know how/when to apply them.

In 12 months:

• Able to perform basic Market Mixture Model independently.
• Contribute to team code base independently, and able to follow coding best practice.
• Familiar with agency’s data pipeline, and begin to explore new opportunities for modelling.

Responsibilities of the role:

Assist in doing Market Mixture Model, which include data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, writing report and maintain team code base.

What you will need:

• Excellent in Excel and PPT skills.
• Understand basic statistics (hypothesis testing, normal distribution, etc), and familiar with at least one machine learning algorithm.
• Able to perform matrix operation and Calculus.
• Proficient in at least one of the coding language (Python, R, or C++), preferably Python. Demonstrate ability to follow coding best practice, and able to learn.
• Interested in data analysis, got fast learning ability with new knowledge. Have strong sensitive with data and good logic in data. Have clear thoughts and solutions when facing problems.
• Be patient with work, know how to arrange things in detail. Stay focus in complex environment.
