We are looking for an enthusiastic modernisation and optimisation team leader with a keen desire to succeed and drive customer excellence through technical abilities and aptitude.

As part of the customer service team you will be expected to deliver FA & PA projects on time, to specification and within budget.

The optimisation and modernisation team support customers with both legacy and cutting-edge-technologies, across all industry sectors so the ability to adapt and have a growth mindset is vital.

Your key focus will be project management within the optimisation and modernisation business, using your technical competence and strong interpersonal skills leading to an exceptional level of customer service.

Reporting to the service operations manager, the successful candidate will provide professional and efficient project delivery, maintaining and improvement of current processes, control of project resources and cost, and ensuring effective management of project margins.

Key responsibilities:

  • Customer focus, delivering complex solutions with exceptional customer service.
  • Actively engage with project sign-off to ensure technical and commercial suitability and compliance.
  • Collaboration with operations manager to efficiently resource current and prospective projects utilising effective resource loading tools.
  • Team management, performance, development, and reporting functions.
  • Effective management of project budgets, costs, orders, revenue, and margin.
  • Liaison with customers, contractors, and team members.
  • Creation of reports and documentation.
  • Effective risk management and mitigation methods.
  • Ensure quality, compliance and regional laws / regulations are adhered to.
  • Effective management of non-conformance costs.
  • Facilitate and present at monthly project review meetings.
  • Support the development of engineers and entry level talent.
  • Regular updates with current product portfolio from HQ and identify prospects for delivery and further influential collaboration opportunities.
  • Management and continuous improvement of department processes.

  • Degree /HND level in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent team player works collaboratively and proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adapts well to working both in a team and on your own initiative.
  • Experience in people and project management.
  • Experience in project governance and quality assurance concepts.
  • Knowledge of IT/OT networks, PLC, HMI, SCADA and DCS (preferably Siemens), design and configuration.
  • with low voltage equipment design and installation.
  • Commercial awareness including processes, contracts and terms and conditions.
  • Proficient with MS Office, word, excel, outlook, project, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP, Order management systems.
  • Experienced with industrial security concepts and international standards.
  • Experience of full project lifecycle from conception to completion, design, test, documentation, programming, installation and commissioning and support.
