Purpose of the Position:

Lead and/or direct engineering resources in the development and improvement of processes. Achieve low cost manufacturing, superior quality/service and improved capability/capacity

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Use statistical methods and engineering tools for product and process analysis. Implement effective performance monitoring and tracking system.

Provides day-to-day problem solving support to production, development and operations.

Trouble shoots product related material, process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and implements corrective action.

Lead or Supports new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, documentation and training.

Lead process development and validation for new material and Equipment.

Implements and documents material, process and/or equipment changes.

Functions as team leader on focused projects.

Assure quality and repeatability of processes and products.

Assures safety of operators and equipment and Complies with safety and environmental regulations

Set up process understanding and control system and deploy process control and discipline

Build effective relationships with division engineering, division manufacturing, and commercial (as necessary) in support of execution of the plant engineering strategy

Provide focus and direction to direct reports to ensure professional development

Develop technical capabilities in engineering organization. Champion use of scientific method to determine and resolve process upset root cause and increase process fundamental understanding within department

Ensure effective process and equipment change control management

 

Project involved with:

New process development based on business requirements, including technical specification, process design, sourcing, building and final implementation.

Continuously improve the process performance on safety, efficiency, reliability and operating cost.

Required supports to any projects lead by other function team such as quality, production or IT.
