Job Description
Growcentia is looking for a motivated individual to fill a molecular biology technician position. Duties consist mainly of isolating DNA, preparation of DNA for 16S Illumina PCR, and post PCR preparation of amplicons for Illumina sequencing. Duties have a strong potential to diversify after demonstrated proficiency and in alignment with lab growth and research needs.
To be considered, strong candidates MUST:
- be able to work 40 hours per week during lab hours Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
- have a bachelor’s degree in life or natural sciences
- have had previous experience in a lab setting.
- have knowledge of DNA isolation techniques and PCR is also required
Candidates must also have a overwhelming ability to:
- think on your feet
- be detail oriented & organized
- thoroughly enjoy what you are doing
Position is based in FOrt Collins, CO. All candidates MUST currently reside in the geographic area - relocation is not an option.
