Position Overview Position would be to fill my open position for a Marketing Professional where their primary responsibility is to be a Drives Trainer for our channel partners and sales organization. Advanced knowledge would be required in VFD and servo drive technology, motors, and applications. The person needs to have good presentation and writing skills for doing this pre-sale product and application training. The responsibility of this person would also include running our Drives Partner AE Certification Program. This person would also be responsible for assisting on application support for drives from our partners and sales teams. Attributes Key objectives and the impact of the role: The Marketing Professional Trainer will manage a training and certification for our drive and motion appointed distributor partners across the country. This person would also be actively training our solution partners, as well. This person will be responsible upgrading to the latest technologies integrated into the SINAMICS and SIMOTICS portfolios and teaching on this new material regularly. Primary accountabilities of the role: The individual will be coordinating training programs with our TIA Partner Sales and Partner Management Teams. The individual will also be responsible for pre-assessment verification of our AE certification applicants and for leading them thru a training program to provide the necessary advanced knowledge for proper Drives and Motion certification. The person will work in conjunction with our Application Center for advanced materials. Position organization of the role: The person will report to the Manager of the Programs and Promotions Marketing Department in the GMC segment of Motion Control. This is an individual contributor role and does not have any direct reports. The role will be working closely with the product marketing, TIA Partner Sales, Sales Excellence and Partner Management teams. Responsibilities The specific responsibilities and deliverables associated with the role are now explained and are to be carried out by the person in this job. Overall responsibility The person will be responsible for the rollout/launch of new drive and motion training content as products evolve over their lifecycle. In addition, the person will be responsible for providing basic training to new sales and application engineers on drives and motion. Good knowledge of competitive drive and motion products is needed to provide a positive perspective on the advantages of Siemens to the partners. Additional objectives of the position This person will be working with our product management group to develop labs and training materials for their products and present these in training academy settings. Specific job tasks and functions: o G and MC Certification & Reporting o LVDR Classroom Training o Sales Certification Training o Field Sales Training o New Customer Acceptance Training of SINAMICS o Mentoring partners on G and S Products along with their associated motors o Application Consultations o Communication on Siemens newsletters and other communication tools Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Knowledge/skills, education, and experiences required to be considered for this position. Required education and discipline focus Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equal. Required experience 3 - 5 year’ s experience working with drive and motor products in applications. PLC programming knowledge is a plus.
