Multi-Skilled (Shift Based 24/7) Technician

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Technician looking for a new challenge? If so, here at Mars we currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to come and join our factory team in Birstall! Reporting to the site Reliability manager and an integral part of the maintenance team, the role will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance tasks and responding to reactive breakdowns within the factory.

 

What are we looking for?

• Strong engineering background including completion of a recognised apprenticeship.
• Electrical apprentice trained and a sound mechanical aptitude.
• Must be computer literate and able to master our internal software packages such as Atlas PM, SAP Microsoft packages.

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

• To perform services across the site and diagnose and fix plant breakdowns or issues across entire factory whilst on duty.
• To provide final port of call for line operatives in diagnosing reasons for plant not running to Standard Operating Conditions as the highest technical skill within day to day operation of factory
• Participate in planned maintenance activities, to achieve smooth transition between maintenance and production availability of equipment.
