Eaton’s Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) division is seeking a multi-site Distribution Center (DC) Manager to join our team. This position is based in Raleigh, NC and will lead our Capital Boulevard Operations (CPO) and Knightdale Warehouse Operations (KWO) facilities. Primary Function: As the CPO and KWO Site Leader you will lead all functions of our Capital Boulevard Operations (CPO) and Knightdale Warehouse Operations (KWO) facilities, with approximately 100 employees. This role will have responsibility for developing and executing short- and long-term plans to achieve the annual profit plan, aligning with the operations and business strategic initiatives within the CPDI division. Essential Responsibilities: Manages both the operational leadership team and the functional staff including Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, and Supply Chain. You will be responsible for ensuring partnership across the business maximizing performance from the plants (inbound to the DC), within the four walls, partnering with Logistics, and in serving our customers. Owns continuous improvement to all performance measures impacting People, Service, and Cost. You will be expected to meet and exceed all performance commitments to create a competitive differentiator for our customers, sales operations, and business performance. Ensures the use of Lean tools to develop systems, standard work, and procedures for operating and managing all aspects of distribution operations including core operations processes, human resources management, care of the physical facilities, and inventory asset oversight. Drives accountability of the utilization of warehouse systems (technical, automated, and manually driven) to meet company objectives and facilitate the efficient operations of the warehouse. You will remain knowledgeable regarding changes in best practice internal to Eaton, with our competitors, and with best-in-class organizations. Reinforces compliance with all federal, state and local statutes and ensure the facility meets with required Environmental Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with federal state, and/or local regulations and secures those areas needed for ISO 14001 and Eaton Safety Programs (MESH). Develops and manages a system of controls to ensure that compliance commitments and operational performance goals are met while driving continuous improvements in productivity. Continuously improve operations through alignment with the Eaton Business System with a strong focus on driving a Lean Culture. Support meeting all of the criteria identified in the Eaton Business System (EBS) including Eaton Lean System, OpA, MESH, MMA and other reviews. Build organizational capability by providing leadership in recruiting, goal alignment, employee development, performance management and communication. Ensure motivation and retention of a high-performance plant leadership team and workforce. Demonstrate a leadership style that perpetuates the Eaton Leadership Model and the Eaton Code of Ethics and foster an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing Continuous Improvement culture tools Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to direct reports to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution Minimum 7 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in supply chain, distribution centers, operations, and/or manufacturing. Minimum 3 years of experience managing others in a distribution center or manufacturing environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Leadership experience in supply chain or distribution centers preferred Solid SAP experience Job Criteria: Knowledge of current technologies in manufacturing, engineering, materials management/inventory control, distribution and logistics, purchasing, quality assurance systems processes and practices. Strong financial and business acumen. Strong collaborative skills with the proven ability to drive change and leadership ownership / accountability. Ability to build high performance teams, lead cross-functionally, develop & train employees. Ability to provide leadership, performance results, organizational development and operational improvement.
