Job Summary

We presently have an opportunity for a Multimedia Creator responsible for video, photography and social media content (Photo & Video) within the Global Marketing department of Meyer.  Responsibilities will include supporting visual marketing content development and execution of video and photography assets to be used in digital brand campaigns, social media and online advertising.

 Experience and/or interested in creating compelling brand video, stories and related content about food, cookware products, cooking techniques and recipes. From concept and script all the way through editing, motion graphics, and post-production.  To provide a wide variety of visual stories for online videos & social media content, POS, e-commerce websites, print and all our consumer facing touchpoints. Applicants who do not meet our full criteria will be considered for a Junior Multimedia Content Creator position.

In this role, you will:

Generate new ideas and participate in creating, planning of content creation for brand and product storytelling across all digital marketing campaign executions across our online touchpoints including social media and e-commerce websites.

Proficiency with photo/video cameras and editing software is required as well as the ability to research and produce creative videos and photographic materials of good quality.  The ideal candidate should have the ability to give attention to detail, while also maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture and also able to work independently as well as within the context of a creative team.

• Ability to plan, shoot, edit, and produce high quality, compelling videos and stills photography for digital marketing campaigns and our e-commerce websites;
• Expertise in video production skills including set-up and operating various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, rigging lighting, etc;
• Understanding how to optimize video for various platforms;
• Strong project-management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects;
• Demonstrated proficiency with animation and motion graphics is a plus;
• Contribute to planning and production of social campaigns, regular social media calendar content and real time marketing opportunities;
• A self-starter who works well within a team environment, yet is able to work independently.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Keen eye and passion for video and photography;
• An understanding or study in Film / Video / Photography / Digital Media. Digital savvy creative storytellers with video/social media & blogging experience are also welcome to apply;
• Creative self-starter with 3+ years of content creation, shooting and editing experience in photography, video production & social media;
• Experience working in either an in-house digital agency or creative team environment is beneficial;
• Strong storyteller, capable of turning complicated concepts into simple, elegant narratives;
• Proficient in an NLE program such as  Premiere or Final Cut; as well other multimedia design tools such as After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, illustrator, Capture One, etc;
• Experience creating animated GIFs or other short form social content;
• Proficient knowledge of modern and innovative best practices in social media design concepts and solutions;
• Detail-oriented and good time-management skills;
• Good command of the English language;
• A passion for food and design.
