COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICE
The Communication and Public Relations Office is responsible for raising the profile of the University and enhancing understanding of its development and achievements among its stakeholders and the general public. The Office is now seeking a creative, talented individual as a half-time Multimedia Designer. He/She is required to work 20 hours per week.
The appointee is expected to:
- Develop engaging media elements (e.g. photographic and graphic images, diagrams, video, animated illustrations, etc.);
- Develop creative concepts, layouts and artworks for design projects (e.g. publications, posters, advertisements, banners, websites, e-newsletters, event materials and powerpoint presentation);
- Deliver innovative design solutions and ensure the brand standards;
- Take, edit, retouch photos and videos; and
- Perform any other special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Design or an equivalent qualification with at least five years of relevant experience;
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere, with knowledge of Adobe Flash, video-editing, photo-shooting and social media being an advantage;
- Strong typography, composition and layout skills;
- Good understanding of output and print production;
- Ability to manage time and work under tight schedules;
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS, website & App development will be a definite advantage;
- Excellent organising, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with a high level of motivation and creativity; and
- A good command of English and Chinese
Applicants are required to enclose their design portfolio with the application.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Reference salary range: HK$16,400 – HK$26,300
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
