Job Title: Music - Vocal Teacher (Secondary School)
Location: Chaoyang District, Beijing
Start Date: February 2026
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Vocal Music Teacher to inspire our secondary school students. The ideal candidate will be a versatile musician dedicated to fostering a love for music, developing vocal technique, and cultivating artistic expression. You will create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students can explore their vocal potential, from foundational skills to advanced performance, across a variety of musical genres.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging vocal music lessons for secondary school students, encompassing music theory, sight-singing, ear training, and vocal health.
Instruct students in proper vocal techniques, including breath control, diction, tone production, and musicality across diverse repertoires (e.g., classical, contemporary, musical theatre).
Direct and coach school choirs, vocal ensembles, and prepare students for solo performances, concerts, and examinations.
Assess student progress and provide constructive, motivating feedback to support their artistic growth and confidence.
Create a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages risk-taking, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Organize and manage musical performances, recitals, and school production numbers as needed.
Collaborate with the wider arts department and participate in school events, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Vocal Performance, Music Education, or a closely related field.
Certification: A valid teaching qualification/license.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven, successful teaching experience in vocal music at the secondary school level, with a record of student achievement and performance.
Background: Strong academic and performance background in music, with advanced vocal proficiency.
Language: Proficient English language skills are required for instruction and communication.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A skilled vocalist and educator with the ability to teach and demonstrate healthy vocal techniques.
Proficient in piano accompaniment for rehearsal purposes.
Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young musicians.
