Confucius International Education Group is currently looking for a musician in residence for a new international high school opening in the Pudong district of Shanghai in August 2014. Suitably qualified individuals can have the use of a music studio, salary, and 50% free time, in exchange for 50% of school hours teaching music classes and holding extra-curricular activities. CIEG is a unique organization that focuses on establishing elite institutions that blend traditional Chinese culture with outstanding international programs in British and American education, including A-Level and Advanced Placement, with the goal of placing outstanding students in top universities worldwide.

Position Requirements:
1) Fluent in English as a language of instruction, native speaker preferable.
2) Ability to inspire creative work in young people of various ages.
3) A demonstrable history of musical achievement and/or experience working as a musical arts teacher.
4) Good interpersonal skills and an engaging personality.
5) Qualities of personal responsibility, initiative, and flexibility in adapting to circumstances.
